HEAL THE WORLD ( Michael Jackson)

We commemorate the NATIONAL PEACE DAY on the 30th January. This date reminds us the killing of Mohandas K. Gandhi (India,1869- 1948). He was a pacifist who led India to independence through nonviolent resistence.

About PREHISTORIC PAINTINGS (Year 3).

The prehistory is the period between the use of the 1st stone tools by hominids and the invention of writing. It starts approximately 3 million years ago to the year 3,000 BC (before Christ). It´s divided into STONE AGE and METAL AGE. In THE STONE AGE we have 3 periods: Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic.

It´s in the STONE AGE, when the CAVE PAINTINGS started. You can watch a video about this:

Prehistoric painting in GILF KEBIR

We draw CAVE PAINTINGS (Year 3).

You are going to watch some different ways of drawing prehistoric paintings. You can crumple a sheet of paper, into a ball. Next you paint it it with coffee (or water colours). When the paper is dried you can draw a prehistoric animal (bison, mammoth, horse...) with a black charcoal (or crayon); next, you colour the inside with pastel colours, smoothing it with your fingers... Watch for more ideas...
